About Page
I've finished and released an "about" page, which is almost more about the indie web and social media than it is about this website. The link to that is in the menu, indicated by a question mark on the cover of a book. Since the video released, which is now closing in on nearly 1 million views, this website has shifted from being my little online home and side project to becoming a sort of "door to the indie web" (so I've been told by multiple people) for hundreds of newcomers. For this reason, I've tried to maintain a welcoming chatroom for months, and for a while I've wanted to write a text document that would help newcomers better understand what the indie web is. My original video wasn't very strong, and I should've gotten that page up far sooner, but hey, better late than never! It's taken me a couple weeks to put this introductory page together, but it's something I've been wanting to create for a while and I'm glad it's finally up. It should express exactly what I think the indie web is and why it's significant. I'll likely continue adjusting it into the future, and if there's anything you think that I should add, feel free to email me.
